The book also contains detailed descriptions of soft skills such as communication skills and networking.
During the ceremony, Syed Alamgir said that although people have the opportunity to learn technical skills in their schools, colleges and universities, there are not many opportunities to learn soft skills. But nothing replaces soft skills to progress in the workplace. He expressed hope that the book would play a role in improving everyone’s life, noting that there is no substitute for soft skills in fighting the fourth industrial revolution.
Ridhwanul Haq referred to soft skills as life skills and spoke about the important role of soft skills in making life self-sufficient and living with dignity. He added that these skills not only contribute to success in working life, but also play an important role in maintaining a work-life balance.
Shawkat Ali said there had been no soft skills manual written in the context of Bangladesh before. Mentioning that this book filled this gap, he expressed his determination to do more in this regard.
Md Masud first thanked everyone involved in the book on his behalf. He talked about his book writing experience and various important parts of the book.
