Consob adds 5 new websites to its blacklist

The Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa (CONSOB) has shut down 5 new websites that illegally promote investment-related products in the country.

Some of the blacklisted websites that offer forex trading platforms operate overseas and lack regulations. The following websites have been added to the blacklist, which currently has 628 blacklisted domains.

Consob only had the ability to ban websites in 2019 under the “Growth Decree”.

The Consob adds that for technical reasons, the blackout of sites can take several days. The Consob emphasizes the importance of “adopting the greatest diligence in order to make informed investment choices and adopt common sense behavior”.
