CLEVELAND (WJW) â The holiday season is upon us. We’ve compiled a list of events in northeast Ohio, including holiday lights, tree lighting ceremonies, holiday markets, and family favorites.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Wild Winter Lights
3900 Wildlife Road, Cleveland
Some dates from November 16 to January 2. Walk-in tickets are $20 for non-members and $18 for members. Tickets are $60 per car for non-members and $54 for members for drive-thru.
Over a million lights and hundreds of light displays illuminate the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Enjoy a ride with carousel rides, costumed characters, ice sculptors and choirs. Drive-thru dates also available.
Holidays in the Hay Candlelight Tours
10825 East Boulevard, Cleveland
Thursdays from November 18. General admission is $20.
The Cleveland History Center offers tours of the Hay-McKinney Mansion and museum galleries. Refreshments provided.

The Holiday Market is back with a 30ft Santa Claus, the Sugar Plum Shoppe for kids and dozens of vendors.
The Christmas Grotto
4007 White Gravel-McDaniel Road, Minford
Open Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., starting November 19. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
This 30-minute self-guided light show winds through an underground mine. More than 28,000 people visited it last year.
Crocker Park Tree Light
Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.
Holiday experiences begin at noon, leading to a performance by the iconic Toy Solider and the lighting of the tree with Santa Claus.
A holiday in the garden

From November 20 to January 2. Admission is $16 for adults and $12 for children ages 3-12.
The Cleveland Botanical Garden’s holiday makeover features evergreens, poinsettias, gingerbread houses and more.
Magic of Lights

The Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds transforms into a dazzling light-up driving experience with LEDs and digital animations.
Turkey Trot Cleveland
Cleveland Public Auditorium
November 25 at 8:45 a.m. Registration is $35.
Burn the calories with a 1k walk or 5k run before you sit down for Thanksgiving dinner.
Akron Zoo Wild Lights
500 Edgewood Ave, Akron
Select dates begin Nov. 26 from 5-9 p.m. Tickets are $13 for adults and $9 for children ages 2-14. Prices are lower for Akron Zoo members or if you buy pre-sale tickets.
The Akron Zoo gets into the holiday spirit with thousands of lights, dozens of exhibits and fun photo ops. There are also costumed characters and Santa Claus!
Ashtabula County Lights on the Lake

Music, hot cider and even Santa Claus in a horse-drawn sleigh as Place du Chardon lights up for the end-of-year celebrations.
Elf the Musical

Based on the popular Christmas movie, this musical brings Buddy the Elf to life with a song at the Beck Center for the Arts.
