Applications are open for the Lucerne Summer University – Ethics in a Global Context (LSUE) 2023. The Lucerne Summer University: Ethics in a Global Context LSUE under the patronage of UNESCO takes place from 1 to 6 June 2023 at the University of Lucerne.

The Lucerne Summer School: Ethics in a Global Context LSUE under the patronage of UNESCO enables young students to examine the ethical issues of today and tomorrow – across the borders of fields academics, cultures and religions – and to seek solutions together in a global context.

This pragmatic and action-oriented dialogue is ideal for nurturing an ever-expanding international network of committed decision-makers who exchange knowledge, advise each other and work together. The guiding principle of this company is “Know how, act now”.


  • No tuition fees
  • The EULS offers financial support for travel, accommodation and meal costs.


  • Open to MA students of all disciplines who have never attended a previous LSUE;
  • Good command of English: the entire LSUE is conducted in English;
  • A final article (10-12 pages) must be submitted.


At the end of the application period, all applications will be reviewed by an international jury. 20 students are selected and invited to join the LSUE 2023 in Lucerne, Switzerland.

The following documents are required:

  • Curriculum vitae (about one page/tabular form)
  • Letters of recommendation from two professors (one page each)
  • Cover letter (about one page/max. 500 words)
  • An overview of your project proposal
